Mega Moolah is a 5-reel, 25 payline progressive jackpot game (similar to Major Millions) where wins pay left to right, except for the scatter symbol, which pays anywhere on the reels. There are three coin values – $0.01, $0.02 and $0.05 – and up to 5x coins can be played per line, meaning the maximum bet ranges from $0.25 – $6.25. All wins are multiplied by the number of coins staked per line.
Symbols and Payouts
Mega Moolah is a bright and colourful game, something of a cross between The Jungle Book and The Lion King in its cartoon depictions of African animals and its upbeat, rhythmic tribal chanting and background music. Earthy browns and yellows dominate the colour scheme, although the minor symbols (10, J, Q, K, A) are all in bright primary colours. The animals are all well-depicted in a friendly, children’s book style, and there is a sense of individuality and personality about them all, in particular the cheeky monkey who acts as the scatter symbol.
The possibility of winning an enormous progressive jackpot is of course the main draw of Mega Moolah. Since January 2012 there have been 7 Mega Jackpot winners with an average payout of $2.89 million, although the the largest win in this time was almost $8.7 million in December 2012.
